昨天的小詞：

fend off

v. 擋開，回避

大家應該比較熟悉一個名詞fence：籬笆，fend就看成是其動詞形式，就比較容易理解啦：建一道籬笆擋開某物。寫作中我們經常會遇到去弊存利的題幹，就可以用這個搭配了，請見例句：

Governments do have the rsponsibility to fend off content of violence, pornography and drug abuse on TV for the sake of our children.
政府的確有責任為了我們的孩子擋開電視上的暴力，色情和吸毒相關的內容。
